Firmware for the LTPP3(G2) comes in the form of Linux distributions created by Tibbo. These images have features specifically aimed at our hardware, while still retaining the flexibility of Linux-based systems.
Our documentation has a detailed guide on performing firmware upgrades. Tibbo offers two ready-to-use Linux distributions: one derived from Ubuntu and one based on Yocto.
Ubuntu has a broad base of community resources and is generally more user-friendly. Yocto aims to facilitate the creation of embedded Linux distributions for specific applications, but is quite complex. Please choose the version that best suits your use case.
Additional notes:
- After an upgrade, please remember to remove the jumpers and USB flash drive or microSD card before rebooting the system. Failing to do so will restart the upgrade process or result in a failed boot.
- Tibbo recommends IO Ninja for your terminal software needs.
